Last Tuesday we had the pleasure of going to the premiere of “The Real Deal,” our latest project with TimePlay. It’s a live poker show event at the Venetian in Vegas. Basically the skinny is this: 2 of the cast of 10 biggest names in poker (we’re talking Doyle Brunson, Phil Helmouth Jr., Scotty Nguyen, etc.) are playing poker live at the front of the theater. The host, comedian Vinny Favorito, picks 6 people out of the audience to play with him. In addition, the audience is playing right along with them on their own handheld touchscreen devices. It should be a huge hit.
We designed the HD and handheld graphics for this show– over 20 motion graphic splashes, 12 character animations, 12 handheld screens, a few leaderboards, and a few graphic overlay screens.
It was a pretty fun premiere - Bob Newhart and Don Johnson were there - with an after party at club Lavo (also at the Venetian). The club had tubs of girls washing each other, and also a pretty creepy tableau of a midget fanny a large black woman…yep, this is Vegas alright!
Our show was midget-free (not that there’s anything wrong with them!) and hey, when else are you going to get the chance to play against (and possibly beat) a poker champion?

So this is what the bunny boys are up to…tubs with women washing each other and midgets. Hmmm…oh yeah and you threw some stuff in there about “working.” Nice.
