Our very first Make A World event was last night, and a grand time was had by all.  If there is interest we will definitely make this a recurring thing, because we had a blast, and came out with one giant crazy new world full of atomic caterpillars, rocket(cro-magnon)men, and divinely ordained giraffes.  You can see the bold new world that was created below, and click on the image to explore a much larger photo of the work.

A very special thanks to everyone who participated.

Also, a brief explanation and credits below the fold.

Hey there, friends. Tubefilter just wrote a very nice article on our new web series, “Coma, Period.” You can check it out here.

We’re no Susan Boyle, but color us pretty darn excited. You can also watch our brand, spanking new TRAILER there.

I hope you're not angry that this is a jpeg of the embedded trailer. Click through, baby!

Tomorrow night we invite one and all to join us at the Bunny offices to gaze into the deep abyss of a gigantic piece of white paper, and create something spectacular.  All are welcome to draw, fiddle, and generally create as we turn this big blank canvas into a world teeming with life, architecture, landscape, and whatever else your fevered imagination can dream up.

So please join us, Thursday April 23, 8pm, at the Bunny offices - 453 S. Spring St, ste 922, LA CA 90013.

See you then!

61 SouthIt happens to everyone.  No matter how exquisite your taste, how diverse your collection, you hit that wall where your music collection is no longer sufficient.  It’s boring.  You need the freshest music on the planet to fix this, and you need it now.

So you head to Pandora, Jango, Last.fm, and you… No! You moron!  You head to thesixtyone and you check out how some smart interactive designers with a background in video games have already made your life better.

I’m happy to present a short film, Heart and Sole, by one of our interns, Dan Walton.  Keep in mind, he made this within 24 hours at L.A. Film Studies Center.

I really love food.  And now I have finally reached my pinnacle of food successes.  A sandwich has been named after me!  I suggested that Cafe Nine offer a Chipotle sandwich…  bah-bam!  You can enjoy a Jazzy Chipotle Chicken Sandwich at Cafe Nine in our building, the Spring Arts Tower.  Cafe Nine is our neighbor on the 9th floor.  It’s a nice quiet place to eat and if you’re lucky you’ll get to meet the mastermind behind it all, Captian Chuckie.  Be sure to try the Pulled Pork Sandwich too!

Last night I went to see a delightful new comedy performance that seems set to be an ongoing event, called Lost Moon Radio.  It’s a live performance of what amounts to an old radio show, complete with foley guy, and trust me, it’s hilarious.  Jupiter Jack broadcasts from the lost moon of Jupiter (possibly the radio station supply closet) and brings you a stunning array of comedy bits, musical numbers, and the occasional dramatic recreation of our slide into robot servitude.  Plus, after the show, the live band switches gears and does live band karaoke.  Even though I hate karaoke, it’s still a cool idea.

Suffice it say, the show is highly recommended, and tickets sell out fast - it’s in the small stage upstairs of St. Nick’s Pub on 3rd - so get’em while they’re hot.

They’ll be a repeat performance of last night’s show next week (the flyer below is for last night… sorry), and additional new installments in the months to come.

Today marks the 4th anniversary of Psychic Bunny being a real company. We started working together in 2002, and formed legally on Jan. 1st, 2004, but it was mid-April 2005 when we got our first real offices. We’ve been here for four years now, and looking through our old stuff, ah, what memories we’ve had! What started as a few dudes, a logo, a G4, and a can of red paint is now 6 offices, a host of talented employees and contractors, and some number of editing/graphics stations that I don’t really feel like getting up out of my office chair and counting. Point is, we’ve grown. But that big ol’ bunny is still on the walls, and we’re still doing exactly what we love to do.

Here’s a pic of us dorky kids on our first project, “Adventureville,” in 2004.

And now look at us, we’re a rock band!

We like to rock?

So a big THANK YOU to all of you out there who have supported us over the years. Friends and family with love, words of wisdom, referrals, and shoulders to lean on. All of our clients for being so easy to work with, and giving us a reason to exist, and coworkers and contractors for helping us to create such beautiful work. Three cheers! Hip Hip Horrayyyyyyy– oh dear, I’ve spilled champagne all over the floor. Back to work, everybody!!!

indiecade submissions

I just want to take a moment and encourage everyone out there to submit any kind of indie game project you’ve been nursing, be it video game, card game, defies-description game, etc to the festival this year.

The people at Indiecade are absolutely fantastic and what they’re doing I can honestly say is motivated by a genuine love and championing of indie artists working in the game space. So quit reading this, already. Submit!
