The Real Deal
TimePlay Games asked us to create the display media for this live Vegas poker gameshow that The Venetian was putting up. Top tier professionals like Phil Hellmuth and Daniel Negreanu battle it out on-stage, while the audience plays along, competing in side-bet challenges. We were hired to produce all of the graphics, scoreboards, and animation for the show, which included dozens of interface designs for the handheld devices in the audience.
In addition, we created 12 short animations that would play at key events in the game. “Knock the audience’s socks off!” they said. The catch was that each video needed to tell a complete story in 12 seconds or less. They say Vegas is fast-paced, and they mean it! We stepped up to the challenge with a series of classic ‘50s and ‘60s inspired animated sequences, and you couldn’t find a sock left in the building.
